This is a two-part course for attorneys who would like to learn more about computer security and e-discovery in ‘The Cloud’ .
In the first part of the course, E-Discovery expert Albert Barsocchini provides a discussion of computer security and measures that should be implemented in every law office to ensure the confidentiality of client and law firm files and to fulfill your ethical duties. In order to fulfill their legal and ethical duties, attorneys and firms must understand computer security and adopt best practices to prevent the loss of confidential client information.
In the second part of the course, Mr. Barsocchini teaches attorneys about the risks that arise once a company ventures outside of the security of the firewall, how attorneys can protect their clients from these risks, and how to most effectively and economically manage e-Discovery litigation. As increasingly more companies move to the Cloud to store information and conduct everyday business, attorneys must understand the legal and ethical issues regarding investigation and e-discovery in the Cloud to fully represent their clients.
Mr. Barsocchini has over 25 years of global legal and technology experience in e-discovery, information governance and privacy and digital investigations. He is a California State Bar Special Master in the search and seizure of legally privileged and confidential matters and former Associate General Counsel for Guidance Software. Mr. Barsocchini is also a member of the ALM Law Technology News' editorial board and frequent legal contributor to ALM - EDD Updates and Law Technology News. A thought leader and internationally recognized expert in e-discovery and the technology that drives it, information governance, and digital investigations, Mr. Barsocchini writes and speaks frequently about trends and issues on leveraging technology to increase efficiency and hone legal strategy.
