Over 25 years of global legal and technology experience in e-discovery, information governance and privacy and digital investigations. Extensive experience briefing to executive and senior leadership in time critical situations and performing well in high pressure, high visibility environments.

Member of the ALM Law Technology News' editorial board and frequent legal contributor to ALM - EDD Updates and Law Technology News. Thought leader and internationally recognized expert in e-discovery and the technology that drives it, information governance, and digital investigations. I write and speak frequently about trends and issues on leveraging technology to increase efficiency and hone legal strategy.

Senior Director and Assistant General Counsel at Guidance Software where I directed business development and was the company legal subject matter expert consultant on e-discovery best practices, compliance audits, e-discovery readiness planning and strategy, litigation hold planning and implementation, corporate governance and data protection. 

Started at Guidance Software as director of professional services and was tasked with launching the first northern California office. Built a successful investigations and e-discovery team from scratch, developed all service policies and procedures, directed all business development, and project managed all e-discovery and digital investigations. 

Litigator for over ten years. Past chair of the California State Bar's Law Practice Management & Technology Section. Court appointed Special Master. Certified E-discovery Specialist (CEDS).
