John Isaza, Esq. heads the Information Management practice at Rimon, PC. By bringing structure to chaos, John is widely recognized as one of the country’s foremost experts on electronic information governance, records management, and e-discovery preparedness. He has facilitated records retention research in over 130 countries. His clients range from the most highly regulated Fortune 500 companies to startups. Prior to joining Rimon, John was co-founder and Partner of Howett Isaza Law Group. Immediately prior to that, he served as General Counsel to a publicly traded medical device manufacturer now owned by Abbott Laboratories. Mr. Isaza also has over a decade of experience as a trial lawyer specializing in complex business litigation, environmental contamination, products liability and construction defects. Mr. Isaza served as Notes & Comments Editor of the Boston College International Law Review. At present, he is an active speaker in the ARMA, AIIM, ABA, American Bankers and IT compliance circuits. Mr. Isaza is a member of the ABA’s Cyberspace Law Committee; he is past President of the Hispanic Bar Association of Orange County; and, he served on the Board of Directors of both ARMA International and the Orange County Bar Association, while currently serving on the Board of Orange County’s Pro-Bono Public Law Center. John co-authored 7 Steps for Legal Holds of ESI & Other Documents, while his writings and opinions have been featured in The Wall Street Journal, E-Discovery and Digital Evidence Journal, American Lawyer’s Law.com and countless regional publications. He was inducted as a Fellow of ARMA International in 2011, the highest honor bestowed by the professional association of records and information managers.
